1. Section the hair as shown in the reference diagram. Keep partings clean and precise.
2. Start on one side with a diagonal back subsection. Elevate to 90°, cut at a 45° finger angle using point cutting for a soft, graduated shape.
3. Continue through the side with consistent elevation and angle for balanced texture and flow.
4. Behind the ear, create a new guide. Elevate to 90° and cut with a 90° line to retain nape length and build a modern mullet inspired silhouette. Mirror the technique on the opposite side, ensuring symmetry.
5. Blend side and back sections by elevating and softly point cutting to connect shapes with gentle texture.
6. Release the top. Work with vertical subsections, elevate to 90°, and point cut for crown layering and lightness.
7. Slightly overdirect each subsection back when working from the hairline to the crown to preserve face-framing length.
8. Comb fringe forward, elevate slightly, and point cut to your desired soft, versatile fringe length.
9. Detail around ears and nape with point cutting for movement and fluidity.
